A Twitch channel is made of a handful of images: the profile picture next to your name, the banner on your channel page, the offline screen in the player, and the panels below it. Getting the sizes right makes the channel look finished before anyone presses play.
Profile picture: 800 × 800 px
Twitch shows your profile picture as a circle, at around 256 px on your channel and much smaller in chat and the directory. Upload 800 × 800 px so it stays sharp, and keep it simple enough to recognise at small sizes.
Profile banner: 1200 × 480 px
The profile banner is the wide image at the top of your channel page. It is cropped differently on different screen widths, so keep your name, logo and faces in the middle band.
Offline screen: 1920 × 1080 px
The offline screen fills the video player when you are not live. It is a good place for your schedule or a short "back soon" message. Use large type: many viewers see it on a phone.
Panels: 320 × 160 px
Panels sit below the player in the About section and usually link to your rules, schedule, socials or donation page. The width is fixed at 320 px. Title panels at 320 × 160 px keep the section tidy; taller panels work for text-heavy content.

How to resize for Twitch with ImageSizeTool
- Upload your image: drag and drop, paste, or click to browse.
- Pick a Twitch preset: open the Twitch group, or search "320x160" for panels.
- Adjust the crop: keep faces and text inside the centre of the frame.
- Export: PNG for logos and panels with text, JPG for photos.
Everything runs in your browser, so your channel art never leaves your device.
Common Twitch image mistakes
Panels with different heights and styles. A row of mismatched panels looks unplanned. Use one height and one style for all title panels.
Small text on the offline screen. It looks fine on a monitor and unreadable on a phone. Keep it to a few large words.
A busy profile picture. In chat it is only a few pixels wide. A clear face or a simple logo works best.
