Format guide
Each format shows up differently. Here's when to use each one.
Profile Picture
800 × 800 px · 1:1
Shown as a circle at 256 px and smaller in chat and the directory. Upload 800 × 800 so it stays sharp everywhere, and keep it simple.
Profile Banner
1200 × 480 px · 5:2
The wide image at the top of your channel page. Different screen widths crop it differently, so keep text and faces in the middle band.
Offline Screen
1920 × 1080 px · 16:9
Fills the video player while you are not live. A good place for your schedule or a clear "back soon", in type large enough for phones.
Panel
320 × 160 px · 2:1
Panels sit below the player and link to rules, schedule or socials. The width is fixed at 320 px; height can go up to 600 px.
FAQ
800 × 800 px, up to 10 MB. Twitch shows it as a circle at 256 px and smaller, so use a simple, centred image that still reads at small sizes.
The profile banner is 1200 × 480 px (5:2), up to 10 MB. It is cropped differently on different screens, so keep text and faces in the centre.
Panels are 320 px wide and up to 600 px tall. 320 × 160 px works well for title panels such as About, Schedule or Rules.
1920 × 1080 px (16:9), the same shape as the video player. JPG and PNG both work; keep the file under 10 MB.
