Newer format

Landscape Video

1920 × 1080 px · 16:9

TikTok now supports landscape videos for longer desktop-viewing content. Less common but useful for tutorials and educational content where wider framing helps.

Carousel

Square Post

1080 × 1080 px · 1:1

Square format works well for TikTok photo carousels. Clean composition reads well in-feed and avoids the vertical crop that can cut off landscape shots.

Profile

200 × 200 px min

Displayed as a circle. Upload at least 200×200 px. Higher resolution is better since TikTok may use it at larger sizes in some placements. Keep it simple and recognisable at small sizes.

TikTok video covers should be 1080×1920 px (9:16 ratio). This matches the full-screen vertical format TikTok uses. The cover is shown on your profile grid as a cropped square, so keep the key subject near the centre-top of the frame.
TikTok profile photos are displayed as circles. Upload a square image of at least 200×200 px. For best quality, use 400×400 px or higher. Avoid putting important details near the edges since it gets cropped to a circle.
